Welcome to my site of ramblings!
I am so happy to have a general place to put my thoughts and finds so that I can share with others.
Check back often because I always
have something to add!
I started this journey back in Sept of 2009. On May 17, 2010, weighing in at 324lbs, I had RNY Gastric Bypass Weight Loss surgery. Since then, my weight has gone down, but the road has been many ups and downs, curves and speed bumps along the way. No matter what, I always keep staying positive and trying to make the best out of each day. I chose to have the surgery so that I could be around for my son. Within 6 months, I was no longer diabetic, no more high blood pressure, no high cholesterol, Sleep apnea has been almost abolished. All the major co-morbidities that were killing me have been eradicated. Every day brings a new challenge. Bring it on baby!!
Job Hunting.... 9/13/11
I am in search of jobs that I can do from home. Nothing to big or too small for me. Will entertain almost any idea. Contact me if you need help with something!
I keep my sanity by being crazy! 9/4/11
The whole depression thing is off the charts. So I make a point to LOL over something, EVERY day. Even if its just laughing at myself!
Whistling Dixie..... 5/11/11
If you didn't think I was crazy before.... then you probably will after reading through my blog/pages. I don't see things the 'normal' way, but it works for me!
Humming the tune to Jeopardy.....5/3/11
Waiting, waiting and more waiting.... Hoping (well, not really) to hear from the bariatric surgeon to see if he will put in the g-tube. Tried calling a few other surgeons but none willing to put in the tube after bariatric surgery. yay..
Funny of the day.... 4/20/11
I thought I was getting shorter. All of my shirts were getting longer. Duh, I realized that my gut isn't in the way anymore taking up threadwidth.
